Sidmouth is a beautiful Regency town located at the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and at Harrison-Lavers & Potbury’s we are proud to be considered Sidmouth’s premier, independant Estate Agent. 

We are also Sidmouths’ longest established Estate Agent. Harrison-Lavers was formed in 1978. Potbury’s Estate Agents was established in the late 1890s and the two firms merged in 1985. Over the years we have built a reputation for providing a high level of professionalism and expertise. We are able to offer a wide range of property services  and these include both residential and commercial sales and lettings. We also have extensive experience in residential, leasehold block management. Today, Harrison-Lavers & Potbury’s continue to provide a high standard of service to our clients. We are independent of any financial institution, bank or building society and we believe in personal service for the client concerned.

Although we are known for our traditional values, do not make the mistake that we are old- fashioned.  We have embraced modern technology and use it to provide our clients with the best possible service. We occupy prominent and well appointed offices in the town centre, with the Estate Agency and Letting Department on the ground floor of our building, with our Management Department on the two upper floors.

Our Estate Agency Department enjoys a high profile carrying out work in a professional manner.  This Department is run by  Director, Jay Thorne Cert REA FNAEA who moved to Sidmouth in 1982 and joined the firm in 1989. The majority of staff in our Estate Agency office were born and raised in the area and have worked for Harrison-Lavers & Potbury’s for many years. They are well trained and are an enthusiastic, professional and friendly team who are dedicated to achieving the best possible price for your property within a realistic timescale.

Our Residential Lettings Department is run by Director,  Bobby Marshall.  Bobby was born in Sidmouth and has been with the firm since 1998.  This department is very active and has expanded considerably under his careful guidance.  It offers a full range of letting and management services, not only in Sidmouth, but throughout the East Devon area.

Our Block Management Department is run by Director, Spencer Jarrett and focuses specifically on the management of leasehold blocks of flats. We have approximately 1000 units under management in Sidmouth, Exeter, East Devon, West Dorset and Somerset.
